In true boutique hotel style, our 17th-century canal house features just six individually styled rooms. Reflecting our passion for travel and collecting, every room has been lovingly curated with unique furniture, artwork, and objects collected over the years. Inspired by the spirit of the historic Dutch menageries, each space offers its own collection of treasures, inviting guests to discover something new at every stay.
All of our rooms feature luxurious king-size beds and are located throughout the first, second, and third floors of our historic canal house. As is typical of Amsterdam's centuries-old buildings, the staircases are steep and narrow, and there is no elevator. We are, of course, happy to assist with carrying your luggage to your room.
Staying in a 17th-century canal house is part of the charm and character of Rosalia's Menagerie. For a more comfortable arrival, we recommend traveling with smaller-sized luggage whenever possible.
Canal View Rooms
The Canal View Rooms are our more spacious accommodations (22 m²), located at the front of the house with views overlooking one of Amsterdam's oldest and widest canals. Each room features a luxurious king-size bed, an en suite bathroom with a rain shower, and a separate toilet.
Thoughtfully curated in the spirit of Amsterdam's menageries, these rooms are furnished with unique pieces, collected curiosities, and artwork gathered over the years. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and white noise machines to ensure a restful night's sleep in the heart of the city.
Courtyard Rooms
Tucked away at the rear of the building, our Courtyard Rooms (18 m²) offer a quieter retreat overlooking one of Amsterdam's hidden inner courtyard gardens. These cozy rooms feature a luxurious king-size bed, an en suite bathroom with rain shower, and plenty of natural daylight.
Reflecting our love of collecting and discovery, each room has its own distinctive character, with carefully chosen furnishings, artwork, and treasured objects that tell stories from near and far. All Courtyard Rooms are equipped with air conditioning for year-round comfort..
